Job Summary: The Clinical Research Assistant/Medical Scribe will be responsible for documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visits, will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, and adhere to practice protocols and processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: - Assisting the healthcare team dictating patient visits
- Documenting accurate and detailed information of patient visit
- Providing the highest quality customer service to patient
- Adhering to practice protocols and processes
- Educating all participants in a timely manner so that they fully understand the risks and benefits of clinical trials and make an appropriate determination regarding participation.
- Lab work processing and shipping
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.
Education/Experience/Skills: - Minimum 6 months of experience as a Medical Scribe
- Excellent computer skills and advanced knowledge of electronic equipment (i.e., e-mail, computer, fax machine, copier, etc.).
- Compassion for patients that results in putting their wellbeing first.
- Excellent capacity to learn science and apply knowledge critically.
- Ability to network and build strong relationships.
- Experience with medical terminology
- Excellent typing skills (min. 70 wpm)
- Strong attention to detail
- Quick learner
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Works well in a team environment
- Organized
- Fluent in English
- Skilled in organization and record maintenance.
- Ability to clearly communicate both orally and verbally.
Working Conditions - Indoor, Clinic environment.
- Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
- Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
Compensation : $17-19/h.
