Job Position: Custodian

Location: Octorara School District

Pay Rate: $19.40/hr

Shift: Second Shift

Description:
SOS Group is seeking a dependable, hard-working Custodian to join our facilities team. This a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is detail-oriented, and can work both independently and as part of a team. *Employer paid clearances*

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors
• Refill soap, paper products, and other supplies
• Assist with event setup and tear-down (e.g., tables, chairs, equipment)
• Monitor and report maintenance or repair needs
• Ensure building security by locking/unlocking doors as assigned
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Must pass all required background checks and clearances including, but not limited to:
  • Criminal history check
  • Child abuse clearance
  • FBI fingerprinting
