We’re looking for an experienced and talented Digital Marketing and Web Designer who’s experienced in brand marketing and user experience to join the Vertical Supply Group (VSG) marketing team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the Digital Marketing and Web Designer would be responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, and on-brand digital assets for multiple commerce and product brands. This includes but is not limited to development and execution of online user experience (web, email, social, video design and more.) This position will work within the Marketing department to engage in e-commerce and brand-related activities.

A self-starter with strong personal skills, coupled with the ability to handle many projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is a MUST. This individual must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build a working rapport within all departments in the organization.

Duties & Requirements:

• Own and lead VSG digital-driven projects to support multiple sites while following specific brand guidelines
• Design and develop digital graphics to support the multiple VSG brand initiatives including but not limited to e-commerce / website banners, go-to-market assets for seasonal product launches, omnichannel promotional campaigns, blog posts, emails, social content and overall web functionality
• Proven ability to apply design skills to a range of content such as: UI/UX web / digital, social, email and video content. (Knowledge of print layouts and POP signage a plus)
• Able to work independently, while multi-tasking and prioritizing data and insights.
• Audit online stores to optimize product listings–images, videos, customer reviews, etc.
• Manage audit findings and work with the team to update old creative for a better user experience
• Energetic and positive attitude demonstrating a passion for creativity
• Detail-oriented person who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Ability to take creative direction
• Ability to self-manage time and meet expected deadlines
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to take initiative and desire to learn new software and skill sets
• Willingness to support the team in many different capacities; must be a team player

Requirements:

• College degree and 5+ years of related work experience in web graphics design and UX/UI development within an online retail environment or an agency
• Portfolio should reflect excellent design skills, including experience designing for UX digital/web, omni-channel campaigns
• Excellent written, verbal, & interpersonal skills
• Very strong attention to detail and willing to stay current with online UX/UI trends and “best practices”
• Enthusiastic, passionate, self-starting approach to work and life overall
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Skills in photography, video producing / editing a plus
• “Can-do” spirit with a willingness to roll up their sleeves, ‘own it’ and take on needed tasks
• Ability to understand and engage with customers of all types and demographics
• Proficiency in the arborist / arboriculture industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel (10-20%)
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Big Commerce, Shogun, NetSuite experience preferred, UI/UX design tools (Sketch, Axure, Invision)
