About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of preserving and sharing the rich histories, cultures, and art of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. The successful candidate will be the chief executive, providing visionary leadership, financial stewardship, and operational excellence to ensure the institution remains a vibrant, community-driven entity that fosters cross-cultural understanding and advances racial and social equity. This role is pivotal in maintaining the Museum's dedication to uplifting the stories and experiences of AANHPI communities through immersive storytelling and groundbreaking exhibitions. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be prepared to step into a role of extraordinary significance and opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive management, with a strong focus on strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement. A deep understanding of the cultural and historical significance of AANHPI communities is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. The role requires a leader who is passionate about the mission of the institution, and who can inspire and mobilize staff, volunteers, and the community to support and participate in the Museum's work. A background in the arts, education, or a related field is a plus, and a commitment to the values of racial and social equity is a must.
