Meritain Health, an Aetna Company, is a third-party administrator (TPA) primarily serving self-funded employers. We are one of the nation’s largest administrators of health benefits. Meritain Health offers the resources of a national carrier and the unmatched flexibility and service of an independent, local administrator and includes our Pharmacy Benefits Manager. Meritain Health is recruiting a Head of National Accounts (Executive Director) who will develop and manage a team that carries out processes for sales, account management, and business retention. This leader will establish policies and programs in sales, account management, and business retention for products and services in support of profitable growth and organizational objectives. Responsibilities include leading teams to develop and execute strategies to achieve client satisfaction, managing National Accounts Client Management team to grow and retain client relationships, business development, recruiting and developing a diverse workforce, implementing goals and performance management, developing sales strategies and pipelines, monitoring market and competitor activity, advising on consultative meetings, collaborating with marketing and inside sales teams, creating and enhancing corporate customer relationships, partnering with cross-functional teams, removing organizational barriers, and supporting CVS Health’s diversity and inclusion goals. The role requires 10+ years of sales and account management experience, leadership in sales strategy, direct and broker sales experience, understanding of health plan and payor marketplace, financial acumen, problem-solving skills, ability to navigate large organizations, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This is a remote opportunity located anywhere in the US with up to 40% travel. Education required is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
