Job Overview: We are seeking a highly creative and organized individual to join our team as an Event Planner and Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing exceptional events that exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, strong project management skills, and a passion for creating unique experiences.

Salary:

This role offers an hourly wage PLUS sales commission.

Job Description

Client Consultation:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision, goals, and preferences.
• Provide expert guidance on event design, theme development, and overall aesthetic.

Event Design:

• Develop creative and innovative event concepts, themes, and visual designs.
• Source and select decor elements, furnishings, lighting, and other design components.

Planning and Coordination:

• Create detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
• Ensure all elements of the event align with the overall design concept.

Budget Management:

• Work within client budgets to achieve a high level of quality and satisfaction.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality

Vendor Relationships:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Stay informed about industry trends and source new, innovative partners.

Event Execution:

• Oversee all aspects of event setup, ensuring that the design vision is executed flawlessly.
• Manage on-site coordination to troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise.

Client Communication:

• Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their events.
• Address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction throughout the planning process.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years proven experience in event planning and design, with a portfolio showcasing successful events.
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of the Milwaukee events market is a plus.
• Knowledge of CRM software, Microsoft Office, Gmail Suite, and computers in general
• Comfortable using MAC products.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Event Management, Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
