The Sr. Manager, Product Management, Global Amazon Air Expansion will lead an end-to-end air transportation product development across the globe. The candidate will lead a team to design, build and launch an air transportation solution, develop a long term air network strategy, and tirelessly championing the needs of our customers. This position will require strong communication & collaboration with internal and external stakeholders across multiple geographies. The candidate will need to understand and analyze Retail, Fulfillment and Transportation network nuances of a specific geography, identify value proposition to build, and modify air transportation product, implement global AIR standard tools and processes, enforce global AIR performance management standards, and drive standardization of global AIR mechanisms. The candidate will work closely with Retail, Planning, Operation, Procurement, Finance, Aviation Security, Science and Technology teams to design, test and productionize technology solutions that will improve customer delivery experience and support spinning Amazon Retail Flywheel. The candidate will lead medium- and long-term planning and support effective management of network in terms of Safety, Planning, Operation, Service Performance and Disruption Management.

The successful candidate must have exceptional problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams. The candidate will need to quickly identify key success metrics and work cross-functionally to implement solutions that effectively exceed targets. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry defining.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Serving as a key leader of the AIR Expansion team
• Creating a product strategy and managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution
• Defining and writing product requirement documents and gaining buy-in of stakeholders and senior leadership
• Managing and coordinating multiple project assignments that continuously improve customers’ experience and develop best in class air transportation capabilities
• Establishing goals and reviewing metrics to identify opportunities and deliver success
• Identifying and communicating roles, responsibilities and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and deliver to product schedules
• Representing the company with partners, and work across all relevant cross-functional areas to guarantee effective communication, implementation, and execution of objectives.
International travel required up to 30% of the time

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- • 7+ years in product management
- • 7+ years in operation technology integration
- • Experience with an end to end product delivery
- • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- • Master’s degree or foreign equivalency in Engineering, or Operations Management
- • 5+ years in airline operations, planning and/or performance management
- • 7+ years in analytics in the areas of transportation or network management
- • 7+ years in developing or managing complex logistical products/processes for Air transportation solution
- • Excellent written and verbal communications to technical and non-technical stakeholders and experience presenting to senior leadership
- • Entrepreneurial instincts with a clear bias for informed action and a track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
