Job Description

Intermediate school piano accompanist position beginning the 2025-2026 school year.

The Treblemakers Choir of Carl Junction seeks a skilled pianist to join the Intermediate music team beginning in September 2025.


Duties/Responsibilities:


1. Treblemakers Rehearsals

• Treblemakers rehearse every Tuesday from 3:10-4:45 pm. The first rehearsal is 9/2/2025 and the final rehearsal is 5/12/2026.
• Duties include assisting in warmups and rehearsing chosen repertoire.

• Treblemakers prepare two sets of music for the school year, which equates to roughly 15 pieces of music.

• Must be present and prepared for weekly rehearsals.

2. Performances- The Accompanist should be available for the following performances (dates TBD):

• One day for a Winter Tour in December
• One day for a Spring Tour in May
• One morning in December and one morning in May for Assemblies.
• Potential performance around Veterans Day
• One trip to contest, which will be in the Spring.

Necessary Skills:


Advanced piano pedagogy skills


Basic music theory, including chord structures and music notation.


Organization, communication, and independence

Ability to:


Sight read and improvise


Work independently within a rehearsal and performance setting


Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students and teachers


Follow directions given by music teachers
