Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to requirements of the organization's policies and procedures that are both patient focused (clinical) and organizational focused (administrative). Adheres to HIPAA regulations and policies. Maintains the security of patient electronic/written records. Demonstrate a desire to set and meet objectives and to find increasingly efficient ways to perform tasks. Mail physician orders daily to the attending physicians. Tracks and follows-up on the initial certifications that are not received from the attending physicians. Demonstrates the ability to cover the task of daily mail. Audits for medical record documents, including the Medical Directors Initial Certification documents on a daily basis. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Expected to perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education / Certification: Associate's degree in Health Information preferred Experience: Medical office HIPAA knowledge Values/Success Factors: Excellence - Demonstrates the highest quality of work. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. The ability and eagerness to promote a team environment by working in a cooperative and collegial manner with others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.
