Position Summary: We are seeking a professional Medical Spanish Interpreter to provide high‑quality interpretation and translation services for individuals seeking assistance from our organization. Under minimal supervision, this role assists the public in completing required paperwork and forms and coordinates related services as needed. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and passionate about helping others navigate systems and access resources. Key Responsibilities: Provide on‑the‑spot interpretation in person and over the phone between Spanish and English for clients and staff. Translate written materials such as forms, brochures, educational content, and instructions. Assist clients with completing forms and required paperwork. Schedule appointments, answer questions, and help coordinate additional services or referrals. Gather and maintain information, data, or other materials needed to assist clients. Perform various administrative support tasks to ensure smooth department operations. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Experience: Minimum of two years of related experience. Fluency in both Spanish and English with strong interpreting skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Medical interpreting certification is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of interpreting and translation ethics and standards. Excellent Spanish and English grammar, composition, and pronunciation. Effective customer service and communication skills—both verbal and written. Active listening, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage sensitive client information confidentially. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications. Physical Demands: Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while performing duties. Regular communication and interaction with clients and staff.
