Faithful Companion Pet Cremation Services is searching for a full-time Office Manager at our Troy, MI location at an annual salary of $60,000-$65,000.

The Office Manager should be an independent worker, highly organized, have a strong ability to multitask, an exceptionally high attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. The Office Manager will also be responsible for supervising the Office Staff, so leadership experience is required. The Office Manager must be able to adequately handle a fast-paced work environment, which includes quick decision making. Critical thinking and problem-solving are crucial to this role. Experience with both accounts payable and accounts receivable is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Sort and file daily sales and invoices 
  • Enter sales, payments, and payables into Microsoft Great Plains 
  • Manage all cash and check payments, including making deposits 
  • Answer billing-related questions from clinics and individual families, providing thorough support
  • Track and collect pending payments from clinics and individual families 
  • Produce and sort monthly statements 
  • Create monthly revenue reports 
  • Produce the commission schedule for the Director of Business Development 
  • Make tax payments 
  • Pay bills, including cutting checks 
  • Maintain and balance a financial ledger 
  • Manage office staff including: Scheduling, training and continued coaching, overseeing that tasks are completed correctly and efficiently, annual reviews, disciplinary actions when needed, hiring and firing when needed 
  • Order custom urns, jewelry, and other memorial products 
  • Maintain parts of the Faithful Companion website 
  • Produce and maintain informational resources for the team 
  • Miscellaneous editing of projects, e.g., marketing materials, mailers, holiday cards, etc.
  • Monitor the company e-mail and reply to customer inquiries in a timely manner 
  • Meet with families, which includes helping to transport pets from their vehicle into our facility, walking them through our cremation options, and offering comfort and compassion with the highest level of professionalism 
  • Keep all client-facing office areas clean and tidy at all times 
  • Ability to work with the rest of the management team in a constructive way and with a positive attitude
  • Strong ability to multitask with a high attention to detail, work independently, remain organized, and maintain effective time management skills
  • Any other duties assigned by the Location Manager, Director of Administrative Services, Regional Manager, or Executive Management
Requirements:
