Medix is hiring for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support a high-end compounding pharmacy facility in Katy, TX. The technician will assist licensed pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and high-quality pharmacy services in accordance with state regulations, USP guidelines, and internal policies. This position focuses exclusively on compounding medications in a professional, compliant, and detail-oriented environment, supporting both sterile and non-sterile operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompound sterile and non-sterile medications in compliance with USP <795> , <797> , and <800> guidelines.
Accurately perform calculations and complete compounding log sheets.
Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and quality assurance standards.
Operate, clean, and maintain compounding equipment and cleanroom areas.
Perform in-process quality checks and maintain proper documentation.
Track, order, and maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
Ensure compounding areas meet all housekeeping and compliance standards.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments.
Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
Open to candidates with limited compounding experience; training provided
Detail-oriented and able to follow precise procedures
Professional appearance and communication; this is a polished, high-standard environment
Desire for a long-term role in compounding (not suited for candidates planning to return to school soon)
Previous sterile or non-sterile compounding experience
Familiarity with USP <795> , <797> , and <800> standards
Experience maintaining inventory and equipment logs
