As a Forestry Supervisor , you will play a crucial role in overseeing timber development activities, from strategic planning and contractor supervision to environmental leadership. Key Responsibilities:
✔ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) standards.
✔ Oversee multi-phase contracts, including layout, cruising, ecology, and archaeology.
✔ Manage contractor safety, performance, and environmental initiatives.
✔ Handle planning, permitting, and appraisal processes.
✔ Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, and stakeholders.
✔ Participate in field activities such as cruising, layout, and stream classification.
Qualifications:
✔ Degree or Diploma in Forestry (RPF/RFT or eligible for registration).
✔ 2+ years of experience in cruising, planning, harvesting, or silviculture.
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
✔ Familiarity with BC forestry legislation and industry technology.
✔ Passion for the outdoors and a strong work ethic.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
