Job Title: Prior Authorization Specialist – Medical Insurance Verification
Location: Mesa, AZ | On-site | Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay Range: $18–$19/hour (based on experience and interview performance)

We’re looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist with strong knowledge of insurance plans, payer guidelines, and documentation requirements. This is a full-time, permanent position with room to grow and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Schedule & Benefits
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
Location: On-site in Mesa, AZ

What You’ll Bring
Experience with Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid , and Managed Care plans
Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
Familiarity with payer-specific portals like Availity, Navinet , and UHCprovider
Ability to interpret clinical documentation and match it to payer medical necessity criteria
Strong understanding of LCD/NCD guidelines and state-specific authorization mandates
Knowledge of real-time vs manual authorization workflows
Experience preparing appeal letters and supporting peer-to-peer review processes
Commitment to meeting turnaround times (TATs)and maintaining HIPAA compliance
