Position Summary

We are seeking a Public Relations Coordinator, who will support all PR initiatives, including media relations, event planning, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team. They will assist with media outreach, product loans, event logistics, and brand monitoring while helping maintain an accurate and updated media database. This is a collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based in our Philadelphia corporate office with 4 days in office and 1 remote day per week.

Essential Functions

  • Utilize industry database systems to build and analyze media lists.
  • Maintain accurate and updated media lists for targeted outreach.
  • Develop familiarity with key media contacts.
  • Assist with product loan procedures, tracking sheets, and loan status updates.
  • Monitor and track media coverage, including brand and competitor analysis.
  • Curate and develop quarterly clipping reports and event recaps.
  • Support media pitching by gathering and organizing necessary assets.
  • Assist with event logistics, including venue booking, travel, catering, product needs, and gifting.
  • Update LAGOS.com press section with current media coverage.
  • Facilitate and distribute the internal weekly newsletter, LAGOS This Week.
  • Provide flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work for events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in public relations or communications preferred.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Positive, professional attitude with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and work independently when needed.
  • Willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
