Ecolab is seeking a
Quality Control Lab Technician to join our Life Sciences team in Greensboro, NC. As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for chemistry and microbiology work for our cleanroom manufacturing area. In addition, you will also perform quality testing, microbiological sampling, maintenance, and lab instrument calibrations.
How You'll Make an Impact: \n - Assist in development of formulations for a variety of applications
\n - Responsible for all steps of routine experimentation including sample prep, equipment orientation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis
\n - Conduct product performance and field testing
\n - Approve, hold, and/or reject products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications
\n - Ensure compliance to current regulatory requirements, following GMP guidelines for data reporting, and preparation of validation protocols, raw data generation, and final reports
\n - Conduct reexamination of borderline results, research technical literature, and communicate opportunities for process improvements
\n - Multi-task between many projects to ensure the various completion deadlines are met
\n - Recommend testing parameters, complete experiments and project work as assigned
\n - Provide analytical and technical support for quality related product investigations
\n - Complete data reviews for out-of-specification test results issuing SPC charts of historical results
\n - Optimize and recommend lab improvements to support 5S initiatives
\n - Other duties as assigned

Position Details: \n - Plant Location: Greensboro, NC \n
\n - Work Week & Shift: 2nd Shift (2p-10:30p / M-F) + OT, as needed \n
\n - Training: 1st Shift (6a-2:30p) for approximately 3 months \n
\n - Compensation package offered: $23.00 / hour + $1.00 / hour Shift Differential \n
\n

Minimum Qualifications: \n - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or relevant science discipline

Physical Demands: \n - Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
\n - Must be able to pass a drug screen
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications: \n - Experience working in a lab and/or cleanroom environment
\n - Interest in both microbiology and chemistry laboratory work
\n - A high attention to detail and quality in results
\n - Must be able to establish and meet deadlines to produce independent results
\n - Knowledge of GMP and GLP
\n - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
\n - Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n - Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work independently

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $23.00 / hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
