Position Summary The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience by using consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. The role involves knowledge of all areas of the Store’s business, including print, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating store activities, providing pricing and product information, recommending relevant FedEx Office products and services, operating and maintaining equipment, managing production queues and retail supply, and completing tasks based on priority. General Duties and Responsibilities Follow the instructions of supervisors and assist other team members in performing store functions. Assist in training store team members. Demonstrate consultative behaviors to understand each customer’s individualized need and provide expertise in printing, signs, graphics, and shipping. Provide an outstanding customer service experience, anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions. Resolve all customer problems quickly and to the customer’s satisfaction. Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information. Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items, inserting them into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels. Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment using customer-supplied original media and documents. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store. Ensure confidentiality of customer data and careful handling of documents, media, and packages. Process financial transactions using a POS terminal, including handling cash and making change. Cleans, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and availability. Keep retail store merchandising materials current and ensure proper display of all retail area products and signage. Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste. Complete required financial paperwork and assist with financial reporting, including daily sales, close-outs, and bank deposits. Follow FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adhere to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Seek opportunities to improve knowledge and skills within the retail store. Operate with minimal supervision and adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards. Execute all other duties as needed or required. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education. 6+ months of specialized experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Essential Functions Ability to stand during the entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods. Ability to move and lift 55 pounds. Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members. Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure. Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours.
