Job Description

A school district in Chester, Vermont, is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the academic year on a contractual basis. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services in an educational setting, contributing to students social, emotional, and academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify students learning needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide counseling and support services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with district and state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or license applicable to Vermont K-12 settings.
• Demonstrated experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with school staff, families, and students.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle a part-time workload effectively.
