Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialized role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver targeted services within a high school setting focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a personalized program that emphasizes skill-building for independence outside traditional classroom environments.

Location: Ludlow, MA
Duration: August 27, 2026 June 22, 2027 (dates approximate based on school year calendar)
Weekly Hours: 32.5
Setting: Compass High Program at Ludlow High School
Caseload: High school students, with supervision responsibilities for an SLPA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy tailored to the needs of high school students with ASD and learning differences
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized educational plans
  • Supervise and mentor an SLPA to support program delivery effectively
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with state and program requirements
  • Foster a supportive and structured environment that promotes skill acquisition for greater independence

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification with state licensure meeting state requirements
  • Experience working in school settings, preferably with high school students
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or related challenges
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
