Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of accounting experience, a strong communicator, and someone who is a self-starter and takes initiative. The salary range for this position is $85-$100k.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily general ledger accounting tasks.
• Engage in month-end close process.
• Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls and proactively seek improvements.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Offer guidance upon request and address financial inquiries for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and compile documentation for annual audit preparations.
• Oversee and review the work of others.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• SOX experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
