Job Description

As a Data Analyst at Windfall, your role will be to contribute to a deeper understanding of these data assets and how they can be used to provide value for our business and for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Aggregate data from several sources and conduct data research to generate accurate analysis to support our product development.
  • Independently design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources, supporting product development and strategic initiatives.
  • Generate visualizations leveraging different technologies to be included in slide decks and dashboards.
  • Influence internal stakeholders by constructing slide decks from inception and effectively communicating results.
  • Deeply understand and document structures and processes that make up our data pipeline.
  • Rigorously investigate the quality, relationships, and potential value of new and existing data sources.
  • Proactively perform advanced analyses, extract strategic insights, and deliver robust recommendations for business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Engineers to explore and contribute to feature engineering efforts, preparing data for advanced analytical models.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree
  • 4+ years of professional work experience (excluding internships) in an Analyst role
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with a strong ability to write complex, performant queries and understand database structures.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business problems into technical analytical steps and deliver clear, data-driven insights with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborative team-focused attitude with a strong desire and learn new things and support the business
  • A fierce sense of ownership and responsibility in ones work

Preferred Qualifications
  • An MBA or Master's degree
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards
  • Intermediate Python experience

$95,000 - $150,000 a year

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across California and Utah. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
