As an Accountant at iHeartMedia, you will have a unique level of ownership and impact, working as a decision maker, strategic partner, and problem solver. Responsibilities include full P&L responsibility for supported lines of business, recording and reviewing accounting transactions, explaining variances to forecast and budget, identifying opportunities for improvement, and working with finance teams to identify business risks and opportunities. You will own complex balance sheet reconciliations, prepare executive summaries, review reconciliations by staff accountants, and proactively resolve open items. The role requires connecting transactions to their impact on P&L and balance sheet, identifying and communicating opportunity areas, providing internal and external audit support, preparing footnote disclosures and supporting schedules, participating in special projects and cross-functional teams, and developing expertise in iHeartMedia’s accounting systems. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, 5+ years of relevant accrual-based accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, financial systems experience (COGNOS, NetSuite, Peoplesoft), and effective communication skills across organizational levels.
