Job Description

A Special Education Teacher is needed for grades 3-5 to support students in a variety of instructional settings, including pull-out, inclusion, and co-teaching models. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social development of students with diverse learning needs during the upcoming school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid LBS1 certification is required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 3-5)
• Familiarity with special education strategies, accommodations, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Location:

• Position is located in the McKinley Park area of Illinois

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to individual student goals within pull-out, inclusion, and co-teaching environments
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and educational teams
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching techniques to meet diverse needs
• Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and training sessions
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student growth
