Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Progressive Care Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. The primary patient population will include those recovering from cardiovascular and vascular surgery, including open heart procedures and thoracic surgeries, as well as overflow medical cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and procedures.


• Provide post-operative monitoring and support for patients with heart failure, chest pain, and other cardiac conditions.


• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.


• Utilize equipment such as IV pumps and monitors for patient care.


• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have stepdown and telemetry experience.


• Preferred experience with cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery populations.


• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
