1. Welds together metal components as specified by layout, diagram, work order, welding procedures, using electric wire feed welding equipment;
2. Manually guides gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.
3. Welds in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
4. Cleans or degreases weld joint or work piece using wire brush, portable grinder.
5. May cut metal plate or structural shapes using oxy/acetylene torch.
6. May use bore repair equipment, SMA equipment and carbon arc equipment.
7. Actively perform work to ensure WCM criteria is met.
8. Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• 1+ years welding experience and/or successful completion of a Technical Diploma/Certification in Welding.
• Able to read welding blueprints.
• Must pass an AWS certification test given by company.
