Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide essential support within a K-12 educational setting in Eagle River, AK. This full-time contract position is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about making a positive impact on students communication development.

Location: Eagle River, AK
Duration: Current School Year Contract (CSY)
Schedule: 40 hours per week (8.5 hours/day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
Work Environment: Onsite only
Caseload: Approximately two schools, averaging 47 students, primarily at elementary levels
Openings: 2 positions available

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska Certification and licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Credentialed as either SLP with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or licensed SLPAs
  • Experience working within school settings, preferably with K-12 students
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to students to improve communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district policies and timelines
